The hot water bottle, also called “pain relief” is a ceramic sculpture.
An icon we all know, a soft rubber bottle, filled with hot water, that gives us relief when in pain.
This work refers to the suffering and pain we all carry in life, and the longing for relief. It’s a reminder that sometimes our ease, even if it's not a constant solution, can be very simple and in hand. We don’t always necessarily need to go through big or dramatic life changes to ease our pain and to find comfort.
Sometimes a simple rubber bottle can help.
