PILL TOO HARD TO SWALLOW

Pill Too Hard to Swallow was created in the aftermath of October 7, 2023.

Unlike the colorful, optimistic Ceramic Pills, this one is monumental and black, marked only with the date 7.10.23 in the red typography of a mourning notice.

A response to a reality that felt impossible to comprehend — and too hard to swallow.

Commissioned for an exhibition of Israeli artists responding to October 7.
